Repair or Replace

Replacement of parts and components designed to wear out is normal. However, if we find that a repair is needed, we will notify you of the work we recommend.

Detailed Service Checklist

Maintenance Details

  • Testing of the a/c unit in cool mode for operation.
  • Clear out drain lines: flushing any blockages prevents backups into the drain pan and possible water damage.
  • Anti-algae treatment: placement of tablets in the drain pan prevents algae growth which could cause drain line blockages.
  • Inspect & replace air quality media: changing return filters if needed, changing media filters when needed for media cabinets, and changing bulbs for UV systems. (Filters or bulbs cost extra).
  • Clean the outside unit: rinsing off the unit and removing any obstructions ensures proper airflow for operation.
  • Inspect thermostat operation: ensuring proper programming, system response, function, and addressing any error codes.
  • Inspect evaporator coil for cleaning: for a/c systems where accessible, to identify cleaning needs for proper operation and indoor air quality. (Coil cleaning costs extra).
  • Test & adjust refrigerant charge: recording pressures can identify a leak or diagnose a system issue. (Refrigerant costs extra).
  • Test electrical components: recording the amprerages can identify capacitor or startup issues.

Maintenance Details

  • Test blower motor: recording amperage current and inspecting function to ensure proper operation.
  • Inspection of safety devices: for gas furnaces this ensures safe operation and con identify any leaks.
  • Inspection of flame: inspecting the roll out color ensures safe operation.
  • Heat exchanger: visual and operational inspection will determine proper operation.
